About
If you don’t enjoy your artistic process, what’s the point in doing it? Izzy Prince embraces the ink blots and water wrinkles that come with sitting at a cozy cafe. When crafting a new project, she usually reaches for a pen — ink is a timeless and adaptable medium. As we survive the digital era, cards that can be held, sketchbooks that crinkle, and a dip pen traveling across parchment are a thing of the past. They are the antithesis of digital, and that’s exactly why we love them. Inspired by classic and modern book illustrators, Izzy Prince brings a storyteller’s eye to her pieces.
Izzy grew up in Thailand, Singapore, and California, before graduating with a B.A. in Anthropology from Colby College. She completed the Columbia Publishing Course and worked in New York City’s book publishing industry for 6 years before returning to California, her one true love. She now works as a teacher and can finally read for fun again.
